I love My Country

Authors Note: I love my country so much. I am patriotic and a proud American. I hope this piece shows it.

From the beginning to now, we have always been loyal, patriotic, and brave. Through all of the wars, we the people have pulled through. From the 13 colonies to the 50 states, our founding fathers never gave up and created the greatest country in the world. Who knew the settlers inhabiting the new world would be on top of it later. No matter what, I will love this country.

George Washington, thought the people should decide on the next leader and not be dictated, Benjamin Franklin brought paper money to America, and Thomas Jefferson was the one to write the famous words that are now known as the Declaration of Independence. John Hancock wasn’t a founding father, yet he wasn’t afraid of the English either, his signature on the Declaration of independence was by far the biggest. These brave man never quite, gave up or stopped fighting for the fate of our country.

In addition to fighting, America has never lost a war. We also helped our allies in a time of need. We defeated England in the revolutionary war, Germany in WWI and WWII, and the war in Afghanistan is almost over. Whenever our allies are in trouble, we are there to help. This is one of the main reasons why I love this country.

Another reason why America is great is because we are free. We have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom to bear arms, and the freedom of assembly. I’m only naming a couple freedoms that America has. Many people who live in communist countries like Cuba and North Korea are jealous we have such freedoms and have tried to escape to America. Who doesn’t love this country?

In conclusion, America is the greatest country on the planet, and I love it. I will always love America for what it has done and what is yet to come. From the founding fathers until now, America has been and will be, the greatest country in the world.
